1. Poor quality of the carbonizer will cause significant losses to the casting enterprise. The adverse effects after adding molten iron mainly include the following:
(1). The absorption is slow the absorption rate is low, which results in high power consumption increased cost;
(2). Many slags lead to increased use of slag removers, causing unnecessary waste;
(3). Other harmful elements affect the quality of molten iron, castings may become defective/non-conforming products, which is difficult to accept cause losses.
2. The smelting gray iron should be proportioned according to the sulfur content of the carburizer: if more than 60% of scrap steel is added to the induction furnace, the synthetic cast iron is smelted, the titanium content is low, the low GH-CA-09 (S≤0.5) Sulfur carburizer, in the final acceptance of ordinary gray iron, the content of harmful elements such as nitrogen, titanium, lead, arsenic in cast iron is qualified. In terms of mechanical properties, tensile strength, hardness, yield strength are qualified.
3. According to different cast iron products different proportions of ingredients, it can be divided into adding carbonizer before, middle later of electric furnace, adding steel scrap at the same time adding late in melting. Among them, the joining step in the later stage of smelting is the most important can play the role of pretreatment. At this time, the addition amount of the carburizer GH-CA-09 is preferably more than 0.2%.
