Existing problems
(1) Because of the low temperature wax, most of the shells are dewaxed in water, so there is no need for soap residue to enter into the shell, which is very easy to cause the surface of castings mixed, the failure rate is a little high.
(2) The long manufacturing time of shell making is its major defect insufficiency, especially in the production of large objects, with deep holes shaped grooves, the drying of each layer is common for 24-48 hours.
(3) The cost of silica sol shell (low temperature wax) in EPC market is 5 times higher than that of sodium silicate shell 17% higher than that of composite shell. The cost of casting parts is relatively high.
Silicasol (middle temperature wax) shell
The international general production process of precision casting parts, with casting quality less failure rate, is very suitable for medium large parts with high roughness high specification precision.
Existing problems
(1) The cost of shell products is 8 times of that of sodium silicate shell. It is also 25% higher than the low temperature wax silica sol shell.
(2) The production cycle is the same as that of low temperature wax silicone rubber sol shell, which looks more than sodium silicate composite shell.
(3) Medium temperature liquid wax high pressure wax injection are usually used for the production of large medium-sized articles. The thin-wall wax mold is easy to shrink concave, the specification precision of casting parts is too high. The specification precision roughness of medium large objects are as high as that of large ones, so the silicasol (medium temperature wax) shell is less used for medium large objects.
